My bad, misread that 2.4. You might have just had water in the fuel go through.

Those coil are all exactly the same, so for sake of argument interchange 1 and 2 to see if code changes to P0301 if it happens again.

All that has been done everything checks out and te gm only shop says electrical and the dealer now says they believe a valve seat but like I said it has great compression but has anyone ever heard of a running compression test the dealership say that 3 cylinders go up to 90psi rapidly and the problem cylinder reaches only 50psi but very slowly I've never heard of this test and was curious if any of you have?

Any mis fire that may cause immediate damage to the cat will cause the flashing m.i.l. Its a one trip fault. A damaged valve seat would do it for sure...Any other codes?
It is the only flashing m.i.l code. Either your car has lost fuel/timing control. Or you have a srerios mechanical problem related to the combustion chamber.
