I have an 06 cobalt that has about 160,000 miles on it and I have had a catalytic converter problem for some time. The problem started off with a P0420 code and I have changed a lot of parts (spark plugs, injectors, wires, fuel rails,) I replaced the catalytic converter with an after market cat. Now the cat is showing bad and I am looking to find a new OE cat does anybody know where to get a good quality part for a good price.

That P0420 code is usually thrown by a 200 cell cat, or no cat at all. If you bought a "high flow" cat, that's probably what the cause is. Luckily, this particular code doesn't affect how the car runs (lots of people run high flow cats and ignore the CEL), so it's not imperative to fix it.

If you decide you do want to go ahead and spend the money to fix it, I've got a spare stock 2.2l downpipe with the 2 stock cats on it. If you'd like to buy it, I'm sure we can figure out a reasonable price.
