alright so I'm about to paint my calipers/drum... from what I read this is what I need to do

Sand, clean off, mask , paint ( 4 coats for me ) and one or two sprays of clearcoat

I bought the autozone Duplicolor/12 oz. Black High Performance Caliper Paint

good enough??

They are called caliPers not calibers..

You will need more coats than 4, that paint is pretty thin. Also when sanding, it is SO much easier if you have a dremmel or a rotary tool. Otherwise you will be sanding for hours..

Maybe just paint a quarter of your drums so they look like calipers  I'm just kidding

but I would not paint the drums

The 4 wheel disc calipers usually look good body colored. Rear drums usually look better in black or darker colors, not to distract so much from your wheel setup.
