I was thinking about painting the glove box dark red, with the handle white and the smaller box black. The other part I would do the same color scheme. Just want to know how to keep that texture? I dont want it smooth so should I just clean, prime, paint and clear? Also, what do you guys think about the colors? I wan to incorporate the red cause of my seat and wheel covers. I am open to all opinions, you wont hurt my feelings haha

If you want to keep the same texture, DO NOT Sand! Just wash with a soap based water and then alcohol,

I also used krylon paint on my interior. The Satin black matches the stock interior almost exactly. To prep the parts i just washed them with dish soap, rinsed them off good, and then let them air dry

A) the majority of my interior was already black, sorry.
B) The pillars, hooks, visor mounts were all sprayed with Krylon satin finish black though and the white was the same but obviously white!
C) As said above, just wipe with soapy water (alcohol if you are paranoid) and let dry

The best advise is give yourself almost an entire weekend for the project. Take all the peices out and hang the odd shaped ones with fish line from the ceiling of a garage to get 360 degree access. The pillars and glove box can just be on the ground on cardboard. Make sure everything is fully dried and give one very light spray to start. Get more agressive with the paint as you go at around 30-45 minute intervals in between. I put on roughly 6-7 layers before calling it a day and let it dry for 24 hours.

That has always worked best for me.

I just redid some of mine in the garage last weekend. Just need to wait longer between drying times. It was probably around 36 degrees F in my garage and I had the door cracked so I didn't get all loopy!
