for people's opinion,which will be a better route getting a custom down pipe made or just order a down pipe from cobalt addiction?

Vibrant's 4-2-1 header and down pipe combo, if you cant get that than check out ZZperformance downpipe...it's customizable...cobalt addiction is a fking joke. sh!t for quality and horrible customer service

you know what I notice when I went to order the header from them, it wouldn't go through on cobalt addiction it sort of pissed me off that I couldn't get my paypal account to go through,but when I buy shit off ebay it works fine with my paypal account.I am looking at the zzperformance,now doesn't the o2 bung suppose to help out with not having the cell light going on If no cat.converter?

cobalt-addiction is nothing more than a ebay vendor turned expensive.if you have a 2.2L and no tune i wouldn't suggest getting rid of your cat cause then you'll have CEL issues and might throw your car into a funk. that extra O2 bung is mainly for running a wide band AFR.

well I am going to get the jet chip stage 1 or 2 actually, someone said on here advance auto part carries them or sells them actually for less then what the website sells them for or jegs I believe carries it.

for the very limited and low power increase vs the price...it's not only not worth it but can pose as an electrical nightmare for your electric system. IMO these are just expensive ebay "chips". granted they do have some good products for trucks and what not, but i've heard they've had a lot of issues...including delayed time from a supposed "electrical burn" on the maf. IMO you'd be wasting your time and money. Besides it supposedly requires a 180 degree thermo. W/ a 2.2L how do you plan on accomplishing that w/ no tunning? It would be more reasonable to invest on upcoming software that can be updated and customized via laptop.

thats the problem no one is really doing any tuning for the 2.2,supposingly someone is coming up with it and hp-tuner doesn't seem to really want to do it.The chips sold on ebay is resister's from what someone said once on a forum and that shit you can get at radioshack since I use to work there once.The person on this forum actually has a picture up of the pcm on his car that he installed recently that he ordered from JEGS i believe which is the jet chip,by seeing the picture he posted it isn't a resister.As for the laptop part I have no problem doing that since I work on computers as a hobby,if I can have the right software I don't have a problem of going that route.

so far that i know clear image automotive and carputing now support the 2.2L...but there is no point in getting software AND a $2xx chip...better just to get the tune
