all you need to do is take the wire from the head unit that goes to the e-brake and attatch it to a switch. then take some speaker wire, run it from the other side of the switch through the center console to the e-brake unit. there's a silver box at the base of the e-brake unit that says do not apply electricity or something like that. just tape the other end of the speaker wire there with some electrical tape and you should be good. you just have to flip the switch once or twice with the car on so it gets the charge being applied then unapplied then reapplied. at least thats what i did to my pioneer to get it to work

Do not recommend that, even here in Tennessee there are laws against even having in dash players installed. Just spend a few buck and buy a portable DVD player.

^^exactly. E-brake to switch, then other side of switch to ground. And ppl stop tellin him you dont recomment etc. it's his car his life let him do it. Make sure you know which button turns the screen off, in case a cop comes up behind. tinted windows also help.

I just saw a podcast of the new Mercedes-Benz split view DVD head unit. The passenger sees a movie or whatever with there own remote and the driver just sees the street map for the GPS...pretty cool.

btw, i installed my switch on the floor kicker panel on my side of the console. this way if a cop was to pull me over i can just kick the switch off and no problem.

just take that wire and ground it. no need to go attaching a switch to it
for some reason it doesn't work on every head unit, sometimes the switch is required....and is a good thing to have if ever there's a cop around anyways.

But ya try to ground it first then if it doesn't work, do the switch.
