so when i first got my cobalt and drove it i didnt notice anything..but the last 2 days driving it. my steering wheel pulls real hard to the left.

i could be going 25 on a flat str8 road if i left go of the steering wheel my car will drift really fast to the left..so much id drift into the other lane of traffic if i didnt re grab it and steer is that normal ?

also when i turn sometimes i feel alot of built up pressure when i turn.

power steering ****ed up and should i get it checked
also i could be going 60 on the highway and hold my steering wheel and it still wants to pull and drift left.

most of u know i drove an 07 cobalt ss.

i know their was a recall as well

Could be the power steering recall, did you buy the car new or used?
HAve the dealer check to see if the recall was done to your car, and make sure you get paperwork showing the recall was done. No paperwork, no proof it was completed.

and he told me the car was in perfect conditon i drove it didnt feel anything in the power steering...until 2 days ago...and nothing in my paper work has a statement saying the recall was done.. nor did he say anything about it

is their any expire date or certain time frame u have to get it done by...cuz i dont know about u...but..i dont want to have to force my car to stay from pulling to the left...that and if i take it to the track at high speeds it would be way to easy to lose control and hit a wall..if my steering is acting up

The recall addresses a possible loss of power steering assist. Not a ridiculous pull, trust me, I put in about three a day. That's your alignment dude. Sound's like someone didn't get something tight enough when performing an alignment. This has nothing to do with power steering.

Thanks BlackBalt. that helps clear up some issues. could it be how i drive or take off from first gear ? sometimes i have hard starts in first gear to second..could those hard starts mess my aligment up ?

Not likely. Unless that is what loosened up whatever was already loose to begin with. Take it to Hibdon or someplace and get a front end only alignment and I betcha you'll be squared away.
