Hey, I have a stock Cobalt LS, 2-door and I'm sure you all know that stock they came with p195/60r/15's on and I am wondering if 205-65-15's will work or will they be too lage? Will there be and rubbing/scrapping?
Thanks
you may be a little bit too big when i put winters on i went 185 65 let me do some research, right now i have 225/45/17 so u shouldnt have any problems
There is the issue I would rather the speedo read slower than my actual speed rather than faster. But with a lower sidewall and the way I sometimes drive I would be less likely to roll a tire.
Well use that tire size calculator i posted on page one. with 215/55 you are almost spot on to stock rotational speed. just slightly faster like you want. Plus you will not roll a tire unless it is low anyways..
The 205/65/15 will be too big if the stock size is 195/60 but would be ok if stock is 195/65. It is recommended to stay within 3% overall size of the original tires.
Hey Guys/Gals,
Thanks for the quick responses, they were what I was hoping for because my bro is giving me these practically brand new summer tires so definantly saving me some $$.
ya i got 195/60/15 and im gettin enkei performance series 17 and the tire size is 215/45-17 ishould be ok no rubbing or scrapping? im gettin the rims next moneday well im ordering them. any one got any ideas for some tires???? the rims r 17*7
You will have no problems with that choice your speedo will read slightly slower (60 on speedo @ 60 mph) but thats hardly even noticeable.. THat is the best choice in tires for 17's or you could go with 225/40/17 for a little wider tread.
