Hi Guy's,

My daughters 06 LS with 2.2 is stalling 5/6 times a day.
Took it to dealer and they gave us a 1300.00 quote for a
new comp. "ecu".. She does not have that kind of money
right now so, we oped to take it home and mess with it
ourselves a bit.
It threw a code of P0601.

The thing that gets me is that when it's running, it's perfect!
Last week it went 5 days without shutting down at all. Then
today in the rain, it stalled 6 times in a row.

Any direction would be of great help!

Thanks, Nick-

This makes no sense to me, P0601 is a TCM fault code where it can't read the ROM.

I would like to agree with BankerBalt for once but not yet this time. 06 most common problems are dirty Throttle Body, coil packs and the dang ECM/TCM fuse in the BCM fuse block that oxidizes and corrodes. All these three problems would get worse with humidity. I would start with the 2 that cost nothing; clean the throttle body and replace the ECM/TCM fuse with a new one, well OK maybe a $1. If car still acts up after these I would look at the coil pack.
