Mine was looking tacky as it was flapping around. I was wondering where a replacement of this rubber ring can be found, and how do you install it back under the trunk key hole.

That's the lock cylinder gasket. You can order it online for $3.05 from gm parts direct. My manual says to: Use a flat blade tool to release the rod, use a flat blade tool to remove the U-clip, then remove the cylinder.

i agree it does look better without that around it, but that gasket probably helps it stay dry and rust free.
