I drive an 06 Cobalt LT with 134,000 miles. A few days ago I noticed a rubbing sound coming from the front passenger side wheel area. It sounds almost like when you hit a rumble strip but quieter. I first hear it at about 15 mph and it gets louder and higher in pitch from there. The only thing seems to have any effect on it is speed. There is no change with rapid acceleration or braking or when revving in neutral. It does not change if you hit a bump and there is no pulling to either side. I just rotated the tires and didnt notice any bulging and there was no change after rotating the tires. Any ideas what this could be or any additional details you need? Or is it just the 134k miles and its going to start making new noises?
Thanks.

Sounds like s hub bearing. Jack up the front passenger side tire off the ground and grab the wheel at the 10 & 4 and do a push pull on opposite hands as if trying to turn the tire. If you feel play your bearing Is bad.
