Hi guys,

I've searched the forum, but can't find what I need.

I had a problem about a year ago with my car, 2008 Cobalt LT where my abs/tractions lights were coming on. I went to my now former mechanic who replaced both front wheel hub assemblies for about $1300.00.

Now yesterday I was slowing down at a low speed and I felt the pedal pulse like the abs was kicking in for no reason and then the abs/traction lights came on again. Today I drove about 30 miles and no lights until again I came to a normal stop at low speed, and the same thing happened.

The rear brakes are drums, and no mods to the car.

How do I know if it's a problem with the front hub sensors, or if it something in the back end this time?

Thanks!

You will need to get your car scanned again with a TechII or similar tool to see which bearing is giving the code. By the way $1300 for 2 bearings is way too expensive for the job that it is. I'm glad he's a former mechanic of yours and should never work on one of your cars again or any of your friends. That is outrageous. I did both of my bearings last fall for less than a $100 in my backyard.
