How many shift solenoid does the 2006 2.2 Chevy cobalt have and where are they located... I'm doing transmission oil change soon. Not sure if i should do them. I don't have any codes but transmission has been acting weird.

I would change the solenoids too. And the transmission code will not show if the decoder can’t read them. If you’re doing it, unbolt the transmission Mount on which side it’s on remove the tire and Jack up the transmission (not by the pan) just enough to clip the solenoids in. It wasn’t hard after I figured the right angle. Could be done in about an hour. Good luck…

Where can I find the solenoids? And how many does the transmission have? Can you give me part numbers if you have them please.
