So for the past month or so I've been seriously considering supercharging my car. I have a 2006 LT with ~51100 miles on it. Would it be worth it at this point or would it cause more harm than its worth? The only thing I'll be a little bummed about is how my intake I got will no longer fit but in the end I think the trade off is worth it in that regard.

So basically what it comes down to is what do you guys think, should I do it?

51K is still young. My car's been boosted from the start and its still running fine.

Just don't try putting anything over 250bhp on the 2.2L (Unless you do a complete rebuild with better rods) and you'll be golden.

I'm piecing mine together...it tends to be cheaper and you can customize your build...

Ya piece it together if.you.can
I'm having an IMPOSSIBLE time piecing mine together, the parts just arent available around here, and all the ones that are for sale are in the states and I'm NOT paying $300 to ship the charger, its bullshit

Ok, so what supercharger is the best? I know a lot of people use the M62, and is this kit from ZZP worth it or should I just piece the parts together myself?

Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance
If you can piece it together, its cheaper... but ZZP's kit is fine.

As far as the blower itself, unless you plan on doing a rebuild of the engine to support high HP applications, the M62 is fine. If you want to upgrade the engine internals, then the Harrop TVS or the H62 blower would be better options.

Ok, if not would I be able to find all the parts I need online as I do not know of any good shops/parts stores near where I live because I would much rather get the parts myself then if there's really that much of a difference in price.
