What holds the glass of the side view mirrors in place? I'm sporting the '06 coupe without power mirrors.
I need to replace the glass part but I am not sure if I need more parts to attach it. I found this link to gm parts but I cannot tell for sure if I need more hardware, from the illustration.

Anyone with experience or info would be much appreciated

Quite often, it's glued in as well, which means you'd be needing a backing plate

That is, if GM didnt skimp on the crazyglue, lol

Crazy glue. LOL. I honestly think that's what they used to glue the door speakers in place on my old '06 Silverado. Those things were a b*tch to get off.

you can go to the dealer and order the glass and it comes factory glued into the plastic backing frame. these just pop in and out of the mirror setup. my friend suggested that i just go steal one off another cobalt some night since they just pop on/off. lol p.s. the dealer will only charge about.. 60 bucks
