Just got a new G5 coupe, and figured I'd get a set of snow tires with steelies next fall. We've had quite a snow storm over the couple of days. Took it out yesterday and the stock all seasons (205-55-16) were terrible, so much so I turned around and switched with my old rear wheel drive Buick, which doesn't even have snows.

Made a few calls and nobody has snows left that will fit. Will have to wait to the fall (no sweat). My question is, should I get 16's, or go to 15's (and if so, what size)?

Thanks

On average, smaller wheels and tires are cheaper to buy, one advantage of them. Does your car have the Aluminum 16's? I don't even know if they're an option on the G5's...anyways, if you have nice wheels like that, buy some used 15" steelies off a Cobalt/Ion/G5 owner and mount 15" snow tires on them for winter.
