I honestly loved this car, it may not have been an SS but I've never had so many compliments on a car before, did so much custom work on something, or had so much fun driving something as a daily driver and I've driven every car you can think of.

I wasn't given a ticket and was cleared of fault at the scene even though I was turning left because the other car pulled around a car stopped at the intersection and went into me not realizing why the car in front of him stopped.

My seat belt bracket, the plastic piece that holds it at the top snapped, dash is shifted cause glovebox is a bit mangled, damage from just behind the headlights to the rear of the car with the focus of damage around the front passenger wheel/frame.

While I signed a rental agreement I accidentally signed a work order to even though I was saying I wanted to take it to my collision center so I lucked out on that to.

Appraiser comes tomorrow :(

:(

On the upside the new headlights didn't get a scratch on them even with the front bumper pulling around it.

I honestly don't know what car to buy, I want something other than a cobalt, but I don't know, nothing stands out to me like this one did.

I'm looking at a 2007 Infinity G35 Coupe in red and fully loaded or a Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, probably gonna go with the G35 tho but I miss my Cobalt

They don't think they can, it doesn't look terrible from this angle but everything behind the wheel is mangled, the axle is ripped out the strut is snapped the brake lines are cut the door pillars are twisted, the step in part of the quarter panel is twisted, the whole dash is shifted, radiator leak, and my seatbelt needs replacement, that's just from what I see

Then there's paint, body work, alignment , wheel repair, new springs, and a new tire

The car is worth 8k tops so I don't think this will fall under that

Yeah anything can be fixed, just depends on what the insurance company will give you

Nothing so far except for the pull, all donor parts, I might have to buy the curtain airbag though.

Well, verdict's in... It's a write off :/ but don't worry I'm alright and already have plans for a next car, all being well :) I loved my cobalt but I think it's time for me to move on and experience the fun of starting all over again :)

Oh and the head lights on my car have been taken off, I'll post some pics in an appropriate thread, but they're gonna be for sale :) you can find them on the first page in this thread to see what they look like
