I have no clue, as soon as I either slightly step on it or hard step on it say to get up to highway speed, there's a loud squeak right after the car shift....
any ideas?

OK, they think it's a defective strut, but if not they say it's the sway bar links. They are going to order a new strut and replace it then test. If the noise is still there they will suggest replacing the sway bar links ($200 total for both sides).
Is that from a GM dealer or personal mechanic?
And thank you for telling me what it is. Its driving me bananas! :notrust:

No problem.
This is from a personal mechanic. They had replaced my struts and when i told him the noise started afterwards he suspected the sway bar links. They want to replace the new strut just in case that's the source of the noise.
