Hi - I have been searching and replacing parts for weeks now and I am hoping your expertise can help me out-- I have a 2006 Cobalt and it has a "Steering Issue" - I have replaced the motor and the steering column, that resolved the lights flashing on the console and loss of steering- But here is my problem now, and was there before also -- The car drives and steers fine when it is cold, when the car gets up to operating temp and you turn it off and restart it. The steering becomes stiff at that point. Every time- Easy to steer cold - Hard to steer when its hot - I cleaned the BCM connections, didn't fix it. The steering is reading something when the car is warm. - Do you think this is a BCM issue??? Thank you so much for any help or thoughts!

This is a good one, I just can't see how heat would affect steering. Do you have stock exhaust? By replacing steering column I assume you meant intermediate shaft?
