im thinking of pulling a front sway bar from an SS that maybe i can find in good condition at a salvage yard. but am unsure of what supporting parts need to be pulled in order to have the new sway bar properly mounted and supported in full. anyone done this Op before and if so a few tips would be great. i believe only the front sway will go on the LS from the SS but i figure its a good way to cheaply up the front sway and buy an after market rear.
Any comments or help ect?

Cesar is Correct, i have the FE5 front sway bar, however i have not installed it yet(waiting on good weather)

What you need is the sway bar, the "2" clamps, and the "SS FE5" End links. The FE5 endlinks are shorter then your stock FE1 links. So you have to use the FE5 end links.

My suggestion also if you do go ahead with this...spend the extra $15 and get the prothane bar bushings. Never Enough Auto 877-609-6727 - Chevrolet :: Cobalt :: 05-Up Cobalt / Cobalt SS :: Suspension :: Suspension & Chassis :: Bushings :: Anti Sway Bar Bushings :: Prothane Front Anti Sway Bar Bushings #7-1190

Hope this helps.

XFE is right, you need the bar and the two clamps w/bushings that hold it down. Prothane is not necessary if the stock rubber is in good shape. the fe1 clamps are too small and if you force them over the fe5 bar they will eventually fail, bad ju-ju.

You don't NEED the fe5 links but if they're there, grab them. The only reason there's a difference is shorter=less flex=better response.

there are no aftermarket bars better than the 2 fe5 versions.
