I went into fuel up the other day and I had been running on e for a good 40 miles and when I got the receipt I was a little shocked to see what it said. It showed them putting in 12.999 gallons, and to my understand the 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged has a 13 gallon tank. Correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't know you could get a tank that empty... Are they stiffing me at the pump for extra money or is the tank actually a different size? I was even letting the car idle well I was sitting in the line of cars and heard no starvation of gas.

the 2009 cobalt is a little over 13 gallons, I don't think they changed the tank between any of the years.

I said a little over 13 gallons for 09+ mainly because I have and 09 and I have gotten close to putting 12.5 gallons in it and I figures I only about .5 gal. left, and sure enough the 2.0 tc has 13.2....

Actually the tank size is the same since they all have the same part#. what makes a difference is the fuel pump size and some car like California have the filter inside.

How did I put in 12.999 gallons if 13 is the correct tank size? Seems like it can't be that small...
