Im glad chevy does a decent job of backing up there warranty. It seems like everytime I turn around mines in the shop. Ive only had mine since this past February and its been in alot. 4 days after buying it, it stopped running. They though computer short circuited, not quite, a wire wasnt coated and it ground out. Then 2 weeks later it was in for a new clutch and flywheel, also covered under warranty. Then a few weeks later the driver seat height adjuster broke, they fixed the height adjuster, but managed to mess up the adjuster for how far back you sit, it doesnt click into place unless you sit up against the steering wheel, so now there fixing that. Then my driver door almost fell off because the bolts came loose. And now most recently it started misfiring and broke down. Went in and now the motor has to be rebuilt with only 7500 miles. Bolts holding the flywheel to the crank broke, ruined the clutch and flywheel. Since theyve been tearing it down its just one thing after another. The mechanic said that the harmonic balancer was about to fall off because it came loose and the timing was out as well because something to do with that broke as well. They said the most recent issue is like 6k worth of damage. Even though Ive had all these issues, I still have love for my cobalt, its just annoying to see my new car always in the shop. Sorry about ranting on and on, I just needed to get my issues off my chest.

If this keeps up... you may want to start looking for an "outlet" for that ride, BEFORE the end of your warranty. Please remember, as a whole, for the money spent, they are very good cars. Don't let your experiance here jade you againt the Cobalt.
Hope things improve for you there!

Okay I got it back, its running good, but now I think the axle is shot for the right tire because it clunks terribly and when you hit the brake the steering wheel pulls to the right and on the gas it pulls to the left, makes for an interesting driving experience. So I guess its going back in again. I just hope that it does start holding together.

Well jesepulveda, you arent alone with the issues. Mine came back from the dealership with a CEL, and the door switch out of adjust. I readjusted the switch, and reset the computer, havent had those issues back, but i believe my headlight on the right hand side is having an issue caused by something not done right(wire grounding out somewhere)

Well we finally resolved the clunking issue, it turns out the mechanic didnt tighten the rear lower control arm/ motor frame bolt and it fell out, which was allowing the wheel to move wherever it wanted. Thats very comforting isnt it?
