So the story I was told was; my wife was driving down the highway on her way home, when she went over a hill, there was a truck coming on the wrong side of the road. She swerved and missed him, lost control, swerved back and forth a few times before regaining control. Since then, the car has developed a thumping/bumping, reminiscent of riding a train. It's speed dependent, sounds/ feels almost like a knob on the tires. I looked them over, didn't see anything. I even put one from my spare set on, drove down the road, rotated it to another wheel, and repeated until I had rotated through each tire. Nothing helped. Any clues or things to check? Is it possible she knocked it out of alignment? It's an 05 elantra gls.
