I have just about everything ready for a tune, but debating on whom I should go for on a tune, got intake, header, exhaust, downpipe, 2.4 throttle body. That should be efficient enough for an XFE and daily driven IMO.

I hear good things from Vince of Trifecta tuning, understanding that his remapping of fuel is decent for a street tuned GM. We do have PCM of NC about 30 miles away that offers a full dyno tune for the 08+ cobalt PCM's.

Granted Trifecta will just give out basic numbers to recalibrate, turn off torque limiter, speed limiter, and a few other goodies. PCM will calibrate it correctly on a dynojet, cost difference between the two is only $100.

Which should I go for?

I would always do a in person tune rather than an e-tune. Having someone there who can see everything real time rather than relying on logs and time between tuning, they can get it all done right then and there. Granted dyno tunes don't maximize a street car, however, they do give you the most power you can get out of it. I'd personally do the dyno tune since you don't have anyone there who can give you a street tune.

Go w/ the dyno tune. I have Trifecta on my Cobalt & yea it's easy to use & flash the drive & stuff but, u have resources there to help u. That 30 mile drive will be well worth it. Instead of waiting for the flash to be e-mailed to u, u can just get everything done in person, in one shot

Alright, thanks you guys. I wont get it done til early spring time, gotta get a standard tool set for my job first. I will probably roll up there with a tool box in a bag, swap out throttle body to the 2.4, then get it tuned :)

That's what I thought, I am running HP tuners on my old truck but it is far from stock so it was in need of some attention. I thought about getting my son's hooked up with my software and see what I could do for it. I understand they are supported by the software.
I could do a street tune.
Thanks
Dave

I'd go with the car too. If you have to go to another area like I would then I would just make arrangements with the place and get a hotel reservation there. They take you more serious when they know you care that much and are waiting and watching.
