daughter has a 2007 LS coupe. no power anything. (locks or windows). looking to add an aftermarket remote door lock. module has output for a trunk release. question is how is that circuit controlled? does pushing the trunk release button in the car complete ground for that circuit or is there positive voltage going back there to the catch?

thanks

The trunk release applies a ground on pin #10 of C2 of the BCM, the BCM then decides if all the conditions are met (example vehicle not in gear ) and sends a control ground to the trunk release relay via pin #57 of C1

so i may use a relay to act as the trunk release switch and supply a ground as described wiring it into the switch itself.
