ok so i am tired of the factory rim look, ive got the stock ss sc rims, 18inch. i am considering painting em flat black. my car is sunburts orange the i want to get a carbin fiber hood and lights smoked. but anyways i no a guy that will paint them for about 100.00 a rim at his shop. i think thats too much. i am think ima paint thim myself (i did it a long time ago on my crx and came out ok) i will just clean the @#$% out of em then then sand em down (what grit should i use? and how much do they need to be sanded) then clean em back up, after that put index cards around the wheels and tape em down then do a primer coat (2 ta 3 coats) then let em dry for a few hrs and sand em down a bit (again how much and what grit should i sand it with) then clean em up a bit and spray em black with a rim paint (3 coats).... what do u think??
