06 with 36k on the clock and no performance mods
2.2 LS auto with manual windows/locks
15" steelies with hubcaps

dont want to trade in because they will rip ya most of the time. private sales take longer but genrally get more cash. this isnt our only vehicle so im wondering what i should expect? KBB says roughly 10k but is that higher than i should expect?

Start with cold air. If you can, do the exhaust at the same time. You can do the exhaust in two or three steps as well. ( Cat-back, then header/downpipe)
If you open it up to let it breath in, you need to let it breath out as well.

uhm, i think he's tryin to sell it, not mod it.....

10k seems a bit high.... kbb said my 06 ls was only worth about 8k..and thats with only 25000 miles on it... so id say go with 9k obo and see what you can get outta it

Generally, when selling with KBB, your best bet is not only take into account the price it quotes, but the fact there is now tons of Cobalts out there.....Do some research on what other cobalts are going for in your year range, and you will find out approx. how hig is too high for your car.

Good idea there...research your local area for what others are selling the 05-07 Cobalts for. Your mileage is not bad. Truth is you'll get what someone else is willing to pay for it. Part of the problem is most people are going to have to get a loan for $8-$12 so they will end up with payments close to what they will have to pay for a new car loan (generally lower interest rates and longer terms for newer cars) so it makes it tougher to sell a late used car. thanks guys...good ideas. i may have to wait until the loan is payed down a bit. i dont want negative equity or anything because i dont have to sell it but would like to

Once you figure out the lowest price you'd accept, advertise something very close to that. Be very firm on your price. By not building in a huge negotiating buffer, you will attract more buyers. All you have to do is resolve to be FIRM! Your price is set and if they are serious, they will see your price is too.

I bought my 06 /manual doors and windows with 39k from a dealer for about $11,000 not including interest charges etc...

I paid $12,400 for my 07 LT 5Speed coupe, with power windows/Doors. Your location also makes a huge difference one the price you can get.
