As of right now my left hand is in so much pain. If you relax your hand you'll notice the position my hand stays in right now... its not comfortable and i'm limited in the things i can do.

this happened last night at work at the end of the shift. I work for a traffic signal contracting company, and we got this reel trailer that is very off balance when loaded or unloaded... its either too heavy to move around empty or risky of flipping over when loaded. Well Like we always do, at the end of a shift if there is wire left on it (which there was about 7,000 lbs left of wire) we put it back in our barn to be locked up at night. Never has this trailer flipped on us before, but last night it decided to. It hit a dip in the walk way, rolled back and the weight shifted. I was pulling the tongue of the trailer, my coworker was pushing. Well, when it went it threw me up in the air about eight feet and when i came down, i landed on my left hand and knees. my hand took most of the fall.

The damage was skin torn off down to the fleshy stuff underneath and I'm thinking sprain now cause of how limited my movements are with it... It took the doc an hour to stop the bleeding, and he was gonna send me home just patched up, but the floor of the barn is so filthy I kept insisting on antibiotics in case I got infected. He then decided that I was right after actually looking at the hand...

Just Thought I'd share my story. Any of you have some job injuries that happened when you least expected?

Had two for the old company i used to work for, i was moving a crap load of chalk boards and blew my back out and the other one, was when was leaving the trailer i was loading my elbow got the track of the garage door and slice it open pretty deep, i went to my loading manager with blood all down my arm, all over my hand, on the floor she was looking at me like i had lobsters coming out of my ears.. after about 5 mins they finally started to get my arm bandaged up or attempted to but the blood leaked through it numerous times, the one guy who's a paramedic was like ill give it 2 more mins and if it doesn't stop i am using some of that quick clot stuff.... now i carry a scar to remind me never to work for them again

Ouch! Hope you get to feelin' better! Work accidents suck, but be sure to file a report with your boss right away. Worker's Comp is a good thing.
