Its not doing anything for me. Except looks better than all the stock stuff
Don't be such a buzzkill brew.

I like my intake setup, did a K&N drop in with the stock air box and then bought the Zzp intake pipe for a hundred bones. Gains are said to be just as much as any aftermarket CAI/SRI with a totally stock look.

Not totally stock look but I do like your pipe bluegtp....... GAY I know lol

Sent from my PG86100

I had the drop in before I bought the intake.
Drop in =/= Modded Airbox + ZZP Hardpipe + Drop-In

Wouldn't that be the same as getting a turbo setup finished and then running 1.3 psi?

And Bronx, you aren't the first to talk about my pipe like that LOL!

Anywho.

Stock Motor minus an engine cover and some misc. brackets/crap:

Huh? And yours looks pretty clean

The top part
the "=/=" part?

Those are math signs, lol...you know...this does not equal this...

as in,

A drop-in filter in a totally stock intake system is not the same as a totally gutted airbox, drop-in, and a zzp hardpipe.

I know they are math signs it just didn't make sense to me. And I wasn't saying the drop in filter in the stock box and tube was the same. I was simply stating I had one.

You only spent 50 bucks less than me so it wouldn't have saved much...but it does look neat how you have it

More power to anyone who can snag a full setup on teh cheeps....I just enjoy that OEM fit and finish that doesn't scream look at me, I GOTSLUKEWAAARRRRMAIIIIRRRRR.

Why I got CAI!

hahaha, I probably should have put and so did you! Unless you strictly race your car on the drag strip why do you have SRI?!

We used to.

I also do it for the convience...SRI is so easy.

And I don't really care, because it's my DD and I'm lazy.

:)

Dont you still have the baffle down to under the headlight housing on the air box? You still have CAI then!

No, everything is ripped out.

I don't think you understand the meaning of how much my airbox is gutted, LOL...the panel filter is totally exposed at the bottom of the box....that's it, lol.

Bahaha. Not worried about rain or snow? I've been contemplating cutting a hole in the bumper behind the fog light facia to get more forced air to the intake. My buddy had a velocity cone in his bumper that directs air right into his intake and he said its awesome for the mid to high power band.

how significant of a difference is there with a velocity cone?

Spectre's....the cheap filters basically do that.

And they flow like a boss.

Especially for the money.

Do what? Cut a hole in your bumper for you?

Well, enough that my friend put a hole in his front bumper for it. You will not be able to do this if you DD the car though. Can't go out in rain or snow.
