??? What are you attempting to do? If you're looking for a single pole double throw relay that one is more than capable of handling a lot of power.

 

I just want my aux jack to work on my touchscreen radio but dont want to tap into the e brake so I can watch movies and stuff without the parking brake on. I know some radios you can just ground the wire but that doesnt work with pioneers so I just wanted to get a relay for it to work.

 

Does anyone know what I am trying to do????

 

Yes, you are trying to do and illegal bypass of a safety feature on your Pioneer.

Maybe somebody here could help you if you posted the model of Pioneer and year of your car. A lot of smart people here especially in audio, but they can't guess what you have.

 

Its a 2006 Cobalt Lt and the head unit is a pioneer avh-p1400dvd. Have the Pac adapters for the chimes and steering wheel controls wired in with it as well.

Just get the mod, most will work by switching certain pins on the plug, that mod is cheap enough you should just go with that

I've got pioneer 1500 and by passed it with a switch in the change compartment...if I remember it's a green wire...just need to hook it to you power for the radio and a switch between ...it all it does needs to get power signal... Just turn the switch on and off when it says the warning sign on the screen.....and should work.....did mine to remote amp switch on the back of the radio....it needs to see that on and off...or is it off and on..forget I just reach in an flip the switch now... Have it for the back up camera also so ya can see who/what's behind ya when ever.....hope it helps ya ...

A toggle switch is cheap mount where ya think it outta the way..

 

I like everything to be hidden so I just put in the relay so I dont have to do anything and it works great! Really wanted to post a vid or pictures for the install for everything but its just a wiring mess back there lol Have to reprogram my steering wheel controls too now that I replaced the battery.
