My power stearing went out and light came on as I was turning into my driveway today. 07 LT Coupe. Turned off car and started it back up and everything was fine....... Any SB out for the 07s?

Ah, so all the issues are coming up, i do remember being one of those who got news coverage for my issue, i suggest taking this issue to the local news stations, GM talked with me about my issue, and i'm sure enough people do it, they will smarten up

I'll be takin my ca to the dealership when I get to memphis tomorrow. That damn POS F'N POWER STEERING BASTARD has gone off 3 times today. I hate this car so much right now!!!!!!!

GM got me to do a diagnostic and if it was really the EPS they would pay for either the part or the work, did it, got the diagnostic that it was really the EPS motor. GM called me back and told me they would'nt finally pay. So ended up with a 150$ diagnostic for nothing. They ****ing suck. I'd like to meet those engineers and give them shit. I changed my thermostat last week, took 3 hours 'cause it is sitting in the back of the engine bolted with a god damn aluminum water pipe. I could'nt even remove the pipe because i would have had to remove they hole exhaust manifold. I guess they were laughing out loud desingin this car!

damn shame

GM definately knows about this problem but their not guna do shit about this any time soon because their almost bancrupt. F'n *****es , i mean just think about it, GM almost goes out of business, gets brought back by government, and dosn't want to help their costomers when they got helped.

or it's probualy the gov. telling them not to because their almost broke also, trust me tho that it is all because of the economy 100%, good economy equals good things, bad = bad.

I too have this problem and did a www.safecar.gov complaint called gm was told I needed to get a diagnostic done at the dealership signed a complaint on a website. I have tried everything I can but to no luck. If you haven't already go to safecar.gov and file a complaint there. Hopefully in the near future we will get satisfaction.
I have this same problem with my 2005 cobalt I have not had powersteering for almost a year now. I have contacted GM about this problem and of course they never heard of this happening before, no way thats true. Everyone needs to go higher up then just callin GM about it, I did send an email to safecar.gov and also usdot about it they are the ones that people should send there complaints to hopefully that will work soon.

article on the mass recall:

GM is recalling 1.3 million compact cars for steering problem

and yeah, looks like it's free with or w/o warranty

"The automaker will fix older models first because it usually takes 20,000 to 30,000 miles of driving for the condition to develop"

"GM told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about the recall on Monday. NHTSA began an investigation into 905,000 of the models on Jan. 27 after getting 1,100 complaints that the cars lost their power steering assist. The complaints included 14 crashes and one injury."

News this morning saying GM recalling about 1 million vehicles (Cobalts and a couple Pontiac G models) for steering problem...Saying safe to drive but may be hard to steer at low speeds..GM will notify us when they are ready to repair...
